Responsibilities
• Maintains accounting systems, budgets, reconciliation, forecasting, and invoicing for the LSBDC program• Writes and prepares proposals for funding partners and collaborative partnerships• Monitors financial expenditures on contracts and subcontracts• Oversees the development and writing of reports and other documents• Works closely with LSBDC State Director in planning and managing financial operations• Creates policies and implements procedures for fiscal invoicing and reports• Coordinates financial examination/audit and annual service center financial reviews• Prepares and justifies budgetary proposals and manages contracts and associated budget• Attends meetings and conferences as required• Performs all other duties assigned by the LSBDC State Director
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience in finance, accounting, or related field OR Master's degree and 1 year experience• Specific competencies in general ledger accounting, financial accounting and analysis, account reconciliation, and financial report preparation• Demonstrated competency in advanced spreadsheet and database operations• Experience in university-federal-state contract and grant accounting is preferred• Experience with LSU's budget and accounting systems is preferred• Experience with not-for-profit accounting is preferred• Progressive responsibility with budgeting is preferred
