Remote Accountant

Job Description:

Duke Energy is seeking a part-time Remote Accountant to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Associate-level Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data for our organization. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll- Prepare financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations- Collaborate with team members to support financial decision-making- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- 4 years of experience in accounting or finance- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Confidence in making financial decisions- Resourceful in finding solutions to complex financial issues- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
