Summary The overall purpose is to unload all bulk, liquid and micro ingredients from trucks. Unload all rail cars. Probe all trucks and rail cars testing grain samples for moisture.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure trucks are weighed in before unloading and weighed out before releasing them. Record data on form.
Unload liquid tanks into the proper tanks.
Probe all soft ingredient trucks and screen for size and check for temperature. Probe all corn trucks and check for moisture and foreign materials. Test weight and reject if not if to standard.
Grade and inspect loads of incoming ingredients to determine if they meet company specifications as well as facilitate unloading by using a sledge hammer to remove ingredients when needed.
Make inventory checks on all raw material bins to be reported to appropriate supervisor, if needed.
Minimum Education Reading, writing, math, and analytical skills required with a High School diploma or equivalent preffered. Mechanical background preferred.
Experience Requirements No experience required.
Experience Preferred Mechanical experience preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Must wear required personal protective equipment, climb on top of ingredient tanks (60 feet). Must be able to swing a 15lb sledge hammer. Exposed to outside weather conditions and a significant amount of airborne dust.
