General Description
Performs moderately complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work for the Investigations Department. Work involves planning, developing, implementing agency programs, obtaining and disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and performing internal administrative support work for the Investigations and Post Investigations Sections of the Investigation Department. Works under general supervision, with limited minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works directly under the supervision of the Manager of Investigations, Expert Panelist Program Supervisor or designee.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
25% Provides support and collaborates in the planning, development, implementation, analysis and documentation of office based anesthesia and pain management clinic inspections, and special projects. This includes preparation of materials, custom correspondence, preparing reports of findings and ensuring accuracy of program data and making calculations. Works under strict deadlines.

25% Responsible for formatting final expert reports of investigations that have been referred to hearings and assigns all cases referred for legal action by the Investigations & Compliance department to the Board's Quality Assurance Committee meetings.

25% Assists with collection, organization, analysis, and preparation of materials in response to requests for information, tracking and trending of departmental data and management reports.

20% Assists in the development and maintenance of training materials, checklists, and policy and procedures. May provide guidance to others.

5% Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education
Graduation from standard senior high school or equivalent is required Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in medicine, health care, medical quality assurance, investigations or related fields of study preferred Familiarity with medical terminology is required Minimum 2 years experience in office practices and administrative/technical support work is required Experience using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, E-mail), SharePoint, Laserfiche, SQL, and Teams preferred Experience in medicine, health care, medical quality assurance, investigations or inspections or related work is preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of statutes and rules governing the agency Knowledge of agency programs and operations Knowledge of state agency and state government operations Skills in use of personal computer and standard office software applications Skills in use of standard office equipment Ability to implement administrative procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness Ability to interpret complex rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing Ability to perform detailed work in an accurate and efficient manner Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks Ability to plan and organize work effectively Ability to consistently display a professional demeanor and work well with others Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions

Regular and punctual attendance working a set schedule for eight hours per day Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm. Must respond to internal and external communications in a timely manner which is at least » o Within 24 hours (1 business day) of when external communication is received.

o Within 15 minutes during business hours if contacted by a director, manager or supervisor unless you are on a pre-approved leave or on a recognized lunch or exercise break.
