Part-Time Pediatric Advanced Practice ProviderLocation: Wee Care Pediatrics, Layton UtahShift: Weekends and Evenings
Responsibilities
• Provide primary preventative and acute care to pediatric patients ranging from newborns to adolescents• Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and prescribe medications as appropriate• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies• Educate patients and their families on wellness and disease prevention• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
Requirements
• Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)• Active DEA or ability to obtain one• Experience in pediatrics or a related field is preferred• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment• Strong attention to detail and ability to document accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
