Job Description SummaryThe Indirect Site Sourcing Leader will be responsible for co-leading Indirect Sourcing for our Greenville site, with a primary focus on MRO. Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Global Commodity Leaders to develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives.Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies.Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).Uses judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal in addition to external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.Position will be onsite 5 days per week at the Greenville site.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).5+ years of experience in a supply chain or sourcing role.Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to implement and drive process improvements.Self-starter with demonstrated ability to set and execute priorities.Strong negotiation skillsDesired CharacteristicsExperience in strategic sourcing.Experience in MRO, CAPEX, or Industrial Services sourcing.Established project management skills.Strong data analysis / Excel skills.Six sigma certification or experience with Lean tools.About UsInclusion & DiversityAt GE, we believe in the value of your unique identity, background, and experiences.
