Our client is seeking a skilled Earthwork Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, particularly in earthwork projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, conducting site visits, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of earthwork processes are essential for success in this role. Estimator Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project scope and requirements. Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate site conditions, soil composition, and other factors affecting earthwork. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimations. Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates for earthwork projects, including excavation, grading, and site preparation. Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs to develop competitive bids. Present estimates to management and participate in bid review meetings. Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project teams as needed. Estimator Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Proven experience as an Earthwork Estimator or similar role in the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of earthwork processes, including excavation, grading, and site preparation. Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
