Responsibilities
• Efficiently and accurately assembling and staging customer orders• Checking in delivery orders and verifying received products• Operating yard equipment and performing routine inspections• Maintaining storage areas, entry/exit points, and yard areas• Assisting customers with material pick-ups or returns• Delivering materials to commercial and residential customers• Loading and unloading materials from customer vehicles• Answering customer's questions and advising on merchandise selection• Attending and participating in training programs• Adhering to safety protocols and company policies
Requirements
• Maintaining product knowledge on items carried in the store/yard• Possessing professional communication and interpersonal skills• Having strong customer service and problem-solving abilities• Basic math and measurement skills• Basic computer navigation skills• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks• Regular and predictable attendance• Demonstrating initiative and reliability• Being safety conscious• Must be a minimum of 18 years old• Prior lumber yard experience a plus• Physical ability to exert up to 50-80 lbs. of force• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other yard equipment• Frequent bending, standing, and lifting required• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and team members
