Job Description
seeking a Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi QA Engineer. This position is responsible for Functionality, Interoperability and Performance testing of Wi-Fi Gateways, extenders, home security devices and various other managed Wi-Fi clients. This includes the development and execution of test strategies and test plans. The candidate must be able to understand customer requirements and possess the ability to create test cases for these requirements, as well as follow existing test plans and meet testing and release schedules. Work with the product managers and development engineers to define & document product a feature functionality and requirements. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Test cases definition and development; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality test cases for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Philadelphia, PA or be willing to relocate to the area.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Technical experience directly working with Wi-Fi / RF in computer architecture and data communications.
Experience with Wireless technology testing which includes Wireless Client, Routers, Wireless extendes & Wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
Knowledge of real-world wireless environments.
Experience working with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching.
Familiarity with industry standard Wi-Fi test tools like Veriwave, IXIA Chariot and packet debuggers like Wireshark, Omnipeek and Savius.
Has a technical background in secondary home networking technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, MoCA, and Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment.
Familiarity with RF chambers Octoscope, Lindgren etc.
Must be able to work independently
Strong background in designing or extending existing test frameworks
Excellent Debugging skills & experience troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of and experience with the full product development lifecycle, including functional and technical specifications, product use cases, user stories, implementation, QA processes, deployment and maintenance
Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while confidently driving multiple projects across many teams
Excellent communication skills, ability to lead the projects and present them to SLT.
Working knowledge of Agile lifecycle management tools like JIRA/Confluence
Ability to contribute to interface agreements, solution design, test & release strategy
Comfortable in some scripting language of choice
Knowledge of Network Plan and build IT landscape.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
