Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Wholesale Picker Packer picks and packs merchandise for shipment and prepares all necessary paperwork. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product handled. Pick products according to order, either manually or with electronic scanning devices. Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
Basic ability to read, write and speak English is required to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies, and procedures. Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. Ability to count, add and subtract. Ability to deal with issues in standardized situations. Expected high performance behaviors: Exhibit positive attitude regarding work and responsibilities. Ability to work collaboratively within teams. Ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment, adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures. Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods of time. Regularly lifting to 40 pounds Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Exposed to various levels of traffic from material handling equipment.
