Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer
Responsible for Bench and vehicle testing of automotive foundation brake calipers and EPB.The ideal candidate has experience in testing, benchmarking and software.
Are you ready to shape the future with us? Job Description Bench and vehicle testing of automotive foundation brake calipers and EPB. Test and develop components to internal and customer requirements. Gather, analyze, and interpret test data and generate test reports confirming to internal and customer requirements. Support TPL group in DV and PV reviews with the plants and customer Work with the TPL team in resolving problems and drive resolution. Run caliper NVH tests on dynos to requirements. Develop NVH countermeasures for speedy resolution of NVH topics. Execute EPB vehicle testing to the test case catalogue and report results to support system release. Develop and execute Dry brake caliper testing at the bench and vehicle level. Understanding the system interface needs for dry brake calipers. Develop/Troubleshoot interface between Dynamometer and dry brakes. Setup, perform and evaluate FRF on brake components. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive product development Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles (i.e problem-solving techniques, DOE, validation/ verification methods) Strong technical competency and problem-solving skills Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to drive problem resolution through team consensus Knowledge of MS Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint Vehicle instrumentation and testing experience. Proficient with Vector tools and software (CANoe and CANalyzer) Strong knowledge of the C++ Experience with vehicle data collection software/tools (Daxil, Datalyser, DTT, DET, XMIT) Exposure to vehicle attribute development (Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Performance, etc.) ability to travel 5% annually Strong experience in Vehicle SW integration (Flashing and Troubleshooting) Continental is not able to provide relocation assistance for this opportunity Legal authorization to work in the U.S

Experience in foundation brake tests and/or friction material developments. MATLAB simulation experience knowledge of brake NVH Knowledge of measurement equipment (Hexagon CMM, Keyence Scanner, Polytec 3D Laser) Experience with noise and vibration analysis software (HEAD acoustics, MATLAB, etc.) Link Dynamometer experience and related Link software Additional Information
