Perform a variety of programmatic oversight, budget, administrative, and office support duties toaccomplish the specialized processing of information, documents or materials. Position requires knowledge of the department and universitypolicies and procedures in order to communicate information involving programs, functions, and services. Duties performed may includepreparation of documents and reports, the use of a wide variety of technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, anddistributing information. Specific job duties include: Supervise programmatic resource center for student staff Managing,reconciling, and tracking the Residence Life Budgets (~$300,000-Programming, Professional Development, Office Supplies), regularly reportingto and meeting with staff. Approve student payroll in TimeClockPlus for 200 student staff and maintain hours spreadsheet to helpsupervisors track hours. Maintain Residence Life business accounts and records, including with a variety of vendors. Reconcile 14 purchasing cards. Plan and organize activities for Residence Life Staff. Work with UCOMM and others campus constituents on operating digital Scala signage in the 18 residence halls. YomartAdministrator and Purchasing of supplies (Amazon). Administrative support for academic and social programming. Roomreservations, catering, printing, etc. Assist with census data collection. Serves on committee(s). Attendbudget and finance meetings for department, division, and university. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required forthis Position
Required for this Position
This person must have the ability to be organized and prioritize work.The tasks performed require training and experience in office work and skill in applying knowledge of rules, regulations and instructions toindividual cases. There is independent decision making in interpreting and applying procedures and precedents to specific cases. Originalityand independent judgment are required in choosing alternative courses of action based on general instructions orprecedents. Preferred Qualifications

$42,007 - $44,218 RequiredFunctional Competencies to Successfully Perform Job Duties. Budgeting: In conjunction with theadministrator, advises subordinate units on fiscal matters such as budget planning, budget analysis, and funding sources. Manages theoverall budget for the administrator by reporting expenditures and allocation of funds and sources on a regular basis. Interprets andapplies all aspects of the P-card purchasing policies and procedures as well as special funds accounting for grants along with universitypolicies and procedures of purchasing. Communication-Written: Composes and organizes ideas logically, works inmultiple formats such as letters, memos, reports or presentations, and can change/adjust style to meet the needs of the program andaudience. Reviews sensitive materials and edits content constructively. Correspondence related to specialevents. Communication-Verbal: Presents ideas in a clear, concise, organized manner. Explains and interpretsprograms, policies and procedures to meet the specific needs of staff and clients. Advises program staff/clients in all matters related toprogram operations. Schedules and coordinates appointments, meetings and events. Information/Records Administration: Coordinates varied records processing activities requiring the application and some interpretation of agency procedures, policies,laws, and regulations. Reviews information for completeness and accuracy using multiple guidelines. In-depth knowledge of the archiveprocedures and tenure and promotion policies and procedures. In-depth knowledge of the Resource Manual, University Policies and Procedures,Faculty Search requirements. Maintains records of faculty needs such as travel, contracts, and scheduling.
