Responsibilities
• Securing orders and conducting surveys of assigned territory/segment• Studying product population and locating new prospects• Planning sales calls, making presentations, and pointing out product advantages• Helping customers solve problems and providing technical assistance• Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers• Resolving customer complaints and issues• Participating in exhibits, demonstrations, and meetings• Keeping current with new product information• Maintaining call records and following up on leads and inquiries• Promoting and marketing company's truck inventory
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED• 2+ years commercial truck and/or heavy equipment sales experience• Honest and reputable• Familiar and comfortable with basic computer and software operations• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills• Persistent and motivated• Ability to effectively work independently and in teams• Travel required on occasion• Basic knowledge of truck specifications and operations preferred• Some college preferred• Certified Drivers License (CDL) preferred• Bilingual abilities are a plus (Spanish or other languages)
