General truck driving and light equipment operation in support of the maintenance, repair and construction of County Public Works projects. Participates in snow and ice removal operations.
Operates a dump truck in support of Public Works projects
Pick up and haul material to and from work sites Assist other Public Works crews as necessary Assist with restocking material in the West Yard Perform manual work associated with equipment operations Operates light equipment in support of Public Works projects
Operate loader to load material Assist other personnel by operating light equipment in loading and unloading material Operate rollers, power brooms, and other related equipment Use flatbed to haul equipment to and from work sites Conduct basic preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment Wear PPE and follows local, state, and federal safety regulations Participates in snow and ice removal operations
Operate a dump truck with plow and spreader to clear roads of snow and ice Operate loader to load materials for snow and ice removal Maintain equipment in good condition Ensure equipment is cleaned, fueled, and loaded for follow on shift Report problems immediately to shift supervisor Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Commercial Driver's License Class B w/air brakes & tanker endorsements.
Preferred Qualification: One year of truck driving experience. Valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License Class A w/air brakes & tanker endorsements.
