The Transformation Quality Director will be part of the Transformation Standards & Oversight team within the larger Transformation Program Management team. The Transformation Quality Director is a strategic role focusing on the overarching quality objectives of the Transformation Program. This role will collaborate with the broader Transformation team, business partners, technology and global functions to drive the implementation of quality practices in association with the Transformation program. This includes open, constructive communication, sharing of ideas and suggestions, active listening, proactive engagement with stakeholders. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of Transformation and associated businesses and functions, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in quality control and/or related subject areas. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, planning, procedure formulation and contribution to future strategy. This person is responsible for assessing complex issues, structuring potential solutions, and driving to resolution with senior stakeholders.Responsibilities:Develop and lead the Transformation Quality Working Group, comprised of leaders from across Citi representing various existing QC teams to ensure an effective quality control process is in place which will:Ensure adherence to relevant quality control processes and proceduresShare best practices to ensure consistency of application of quality related standardsAssess Action Plans to stress test key design components and execution goals to ensure regulatory commitments are successfully addressedEvaluate resourcing, technology, and other critical inputs to complete key milestonesIdentify potential areas of risks and suggest mitigation strategies / provide recommendationsEscalate key issues to relevant governance committeesTrack issue resolution prior to commencement to IA validationDay-to-day lead of the Transformation Standards & Oversight Brain TrustSmall, cross-functional team which is responsible for generating 30/60/90-day action plans to solve identified roadblocks related to Transformation governance processesPresent action plans to leadership and a broader group of SMEs for ratification and key decisionsDrive progress to complete action plans and report on resultsFocus on removing duplicative steps, unnecessary dependencies and driving towards simplificationExamine any redundant functions and processes; define and implement required actions to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency.Oversight of the Execution Quality Control procedure and related processesReview outputs of Quality Control review sessions to ensure Leads are adhering to the EQC procedure; ensure that the spirit of the regulatory feedback, broader supervisory expectations and underlying issues and root causes are appropriately embeddedProvide an independent assessment of the output from the review sessionsReport against timeliness and quality of the required review sessions Conduct an independent monthly analysis to identify thematic concerns and lessons learned across documented concerns and observations resulting from Quality Control review sessions as well as any re-opened regulatory commitments to determine how to improve the overall execution process and track any identified action items through resolutionProvide quarterly reporting on the effectiveness of the Execution Quality Control Process, look for continual process improvement opportunities and oversee the internal controls defined to monitor the processDevelop an audit ready environmentAbility to interact and communicate effectively with senior leaders Demonstrated ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with senior stakeholders.Ability to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level using sound judgment and successful execution, understanding how to operate effectively across diverse businesses.Experience with and previous exposure to internal or external control functions and regulatorsAbility to challenge business management and escalate issues when appropriate.Often requires development of new concepts and approaches to solving issues affecting global stakeholders of the Transformation ProgramKnowledge, Experience, and SkillsExtensive experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives and/or consulting experience; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders.Ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changingQualifications:15+ years of experience of relevant experienceSpecific subject matter expertise regarding transformation, simplification and controls;
