JOB SUMMARY: Successful candidate will oversee day-to-day IT & Agency Operations. This position plays a crucial role in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the agency's IT infrastructure as well as collaborates with facilities personnel to ensure agency operational efficiency. This includes hardware, software, networks, cloud services, servers, storage, security systems and video security as well as other related technologies. The role encompasses overseeing the installation of information and communication technology systems for New Life Center's campus, Hope's Closet, and Sunshine Healing Center locations. In addition, will have overall responsibility for the Maintenance, Facilities, Housekeeping, and Kitchen Departments.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision Provides leadership and direct supervision to the supervisory staff of the maintenance and housekeeping departments. Provide program oversight to all facility operations including ordering and tracking relevant inventory. Oversight of building projects and improvements. Hold regular supervision meetings with staff and document supervision notes and correspondence, and complete performance evaluations as required. Hold regular facility program meetings with supervisory staff as needed. Attend regularly scheduled management team meetings. Monitor, support, and approve regular training for staff by lending support to departmental leads. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Duties and Responsibilities Information Technology
Serve as liaison between agency staff communicating and troubleshooting IT-related issues. Provide advice to management staff on all pending changes/ outages, upgrades, user issues and trends. Establish protocols for the use and addition of IT across Agency departments. Maintain network security system, including safeguarding the integrity of the agency network and data from cybersecurity risk, threats, and vulnerabilities, including activities and security incidents. Provide technical and administrative support and training for systems and networks to end users. Monitor system and network performance and agency maintenance activities. Provide reporting updates as to system status, issues, and outstanding needs. Work with third party technology-related vendors to manage applications and services running the cloud. Collaborate with third-party vendor(s) to perform network testing, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure internal systems, networks and servers operate correctly and with minimal interruption. Maintain the security and confidentiality of all internal data and ensure it is backed-up on a regular basis. Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals, including external consultants. Analyze and report computer network security breaches or attempted breaches. Coordinate the installation or repair of network and/or fiber optic cables. Monitor industry websites or publications for information about patches, releases, viruses, or potential problem identification with hardware or software used at the Agency. Assist internal staff with the set-up and maintenance of necessary hardware and software specific to their position. This may be outsourced to a third-party vendor or subordinate, as appropriate. Answer 'help desk' questions from internal customers on hardware and software issues. Escalate resolution of non-routine software issues to third-party vendor. Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of the Company's telephone system. Will assist with initial user training, as needed. Work collaboratively with all employees to ensure the efficiency of their hardware and software providing excellent customer support. Make recommendations for improvement and assist in identifying needs and suggesting process changes. Other duties as assigned. Facilities Management
Has overall responsibility for the maintenance and facility operations processes for New Life Center's campus, Hope's Closet, and Sunshine Healing Center. Participate in the planning and implementation of construction projects, ensure general and regular upkeep of New Life Center's physical buildings and grounds, and create and implement operations processes, procedures, and schedules for streamlining facility upkeep. Plan short and long-term activities and resources required to maintain the facilities including leading and supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for New Life Center employees and residents. Kitchen Operations
Provide program oversight for all kitchen operations including ordering and tracing inventory, menu planning, preparing and serving meals, and compiling information for program reports for the Arizona Department of Education and other agencies, as applicable. Ensure the kitchen plans, prepares and serves high quality attractive, nutritionally balanced meals for residents in New life Center's Emergency Shelter program while upholding the mission, vision and values of New Life Center. Oversees to ensure necessary maintenance is performed in the kitchen, that all food safety regulations are followed, and that the kitchen is always in inspection-ready condition. AGENCY MANAGEMENT Website management for other departments in order to maintain social media and other online presence. Oversight of Technology Systems of New Life Center Shelter, Hope's Closet, and Sunshine Healing Center. Assign and oversee the work of department personnel in the areas of facilities and kitchen. Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the job; share information with others as applicable. Ability to consistently meet established departmental production and quality standards. Identify possible obstacles or issues and provide solutions. Report necessary information to other departments or to leadership. Create or revise user instructions, procedures, or manuals as needed. Actively demonstrate support of the Agency's goals, vision, mission, and values. Prepare reports or correspondence concerning department activities or status. Deliver standard and customized training to internal personnel. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security or related field or related experience Minimum of 3 years of system or network administration and/or related experience Experience with planning, setting up, installing, wiring, and/or troubleshoot hardware and software Minimum of 2 years of management-level experience leading successful teams in any field Experience and familiarity working with various networking and operating systems and platforms helpful Ability to identify routine and complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Experience with or ability to learn facilities management that may include oversight and/or collaboration with space planning, buildouts, renovations, and other building projects. Ensure all required government regulations and other mandates are followed including but not limited to, building codes and inspections, food and safety, OSHA safety, ADA compliance, and grant or funder requirements. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand Flexibility to adjust priorities and organize work to accomplish tasks timely Able to perform duties independently and with a high level of accuracy Commitment to providing excellent and timely customer service REQUIRED Valid Arizona driver's license or state issued identification. Currently possess, or ability to successfully obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance** CPR/1st Aid Certified. ** Negative TB test required. ** COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption. ****If necessary, New Life Center will complete these areas of qualification during the onboarding process.
