Full job description Job Description: Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) is now hiring seasonal staff to assist with the 2024 Clarksville Integrated Mosquito Management Program. This is an excellent opportunity for college students interested in biology, public health, or environmental science, those seeking public health internships, or recent college graduates looking to gain work experience and technical skills. Positions run from May through September.
Responsibilities: · Set and collect mosquito traps in assigned areas
· Perform field inspections and treat standing water and other potential mosquito breeding sites
· Data entry and management
· Conduct evening mosquito control applications by truck
Minimum Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to pass a 4-panel drug test upon hiring Previous field or laboratory experience preferred, but not required · Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
· Must be able to work efficiently and independently
Hours of Work: · Hours vary depending on assigned responsibilities
· Hiring full-time, part-time, and night drivers
