Technical Sr. Help Desk Specialist
For this unique marine company, you will provide technical assistance to computer system users. A typical day for the technical help desk specialist is answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location.
What Will You Be Doing? Expert knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software. (Windows environment). Audit records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Update technical manuals and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate problems. Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software. Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications. Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Expert mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time. What Do You Need to Be Successful? Expert knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software. Associate's degree in computer related field or equivalent training required. 10+ years' experience required.
This is a full-time, onsite, estimated 6 months plus opening in Lebanon, MO. Pay Rate: $35.00 to $42.00 per hour.
