Our climate-controlled site has 27 different nationalities, and 9 active employee resource groups.Roles and Responsibilities:Role Summary:Build exciters and subcomponentsRepair leads, harnesses, loads and related ESS & Burn-in equipment to maximize production usageTest, troubleshoot and diagnose electromechanical, electrical assemblies, components/exciters using oscilloscope, multi-meter etc. and rework Determine root cause of failures and implement corrective actionsDocument test data for analysis and problem resolutionProgram burn-in oven and electrical equipment (PCB, EXP)Essential ResponsibilitiesIn addition, you will:Completion of dimensional training and demonstration of proficiencyUse an open test set-up when test fixtures are not availableFirst point of contact for assembly issuesWorking from work instructions, specifications, engineering drawings, and proceduresAssist with corrective action investigationsTake a hands-on approach to function with limited directionUnderstand product flow within the department and assist when necessary to reduce bottlenecksProvide feedback to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, and Equipment Services on process improvementsWork with M.E.'s on MDR's to determine root cause and to assist in implementing corrective action for parts and equipment failuresInterface with internal customers and suppliersInstruct and train less experienced operatorsQualifications/RequirementsActively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processesExperience with quality guidelines and procedures (PB, EXP)Working knowledge of drill press operation, welding, brazing, soldering, general assembly processes (EXP)Familiar with OEM and corrective action investigationsPrior experience with the operation of Exciter ESS/Burn-In; electro/mechanical troubleshootingProficient in the following areas:Blueprint/Schematic interpretation (EXP)Mechanical skills with assembly and measuring toolsMicrosoft Office application/ERPOrganizational skills and attention to detailVerbal and written communication skillsMath skillsEligibility Requirements:High School diploma or GEDFive (5) years of Manufacturing Experience with product specific to departmentAssociates Degree or certification preferred or relevant electrical workDesired Certifications:Solder/Solder Inspection CertifiedStructural soldering inspectionStructural Solder CertifiedBraze/Braze Inspection CertifiedWeld Inspection Certified (Class I and II)Helium and Hot Water leak test CertifiedFinal Inspection Certified as requiredDesired Characteristics:Lean TrainingExcellent attendance historyAbility to produce error free productsStrives to meet or exceed job requirementsAdditional InformationGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
