We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will use restorative practices to build and maintain positive relationships between students, teachers, and parents. Your main responsibilities will include helping students grow and improve their behavior, creating individual interventions when needed, and implementing school-wide systems and discipline. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the principal in overseeing the middle school program- Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding student attendance, development, and discipline concerns- Collaborate with guidance counselors, police liaison officers, school psychologists, and social workers to meet with students and parents to address attendance and behavior issues- Communicate with families to discuss student attendance and behavior, either through conferences or other communication methods- Address student behavior concerns in a fair and timely manner, maintaining records of disciplinary actions taken- Monitor the physical condition of the school and grounds, following up on student vandalism issues- Interpret school district programs related to student substance abuse and truancy- Make recommendations for policy and rule revisions to improve student behavior- Develop strategies to improve student performance, attendance, and development- Assist in campus control and security practices- Maintain positive relationships with parents, families, and students- Participate in committees and meetings as directed by the principal- Assume responsibilities in the absence of administrators- Perform other related tasks assigned by the principal Qualifications :- EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree- View salary information and work schedule details in the Management Personnel I-M agreement- Contract length: 200 days- Bargaining unit: Management Personnel I-MWe Offer:- Meaningful and impactful work- Professional growth opportunities- Excellent benefits package and moreEqual Employment Opportunity Statement:Osseo Area School District ISD 279 is an Equal Opportunity and veteran-friendly employer.
