Visit Globe-Miami.com) to learn more.DescriptionUnder the direct supervision of regional IS management, assist in the planning, organization, supervision, coordination and enhancement, maintenance and repair of the sites computer, conventional and wireless telecommunications systems and infrastructure.Participate in the monitoring of and reporting of performance and progress related to local IS policy and Compliance Calendar requirements and deadlinesAssist local managers with SOX compliance by providing necessary documentation for control compliance and testingAssist local Process Control Managers with compliance activities, definitions and "Best Practices" as they relate to managing process control infrastructure and serversAssist in the development, training and mentoring of local IS support technicians, including PC Technicians and Local Area Network AdministratorsInterface with local customers on IS support or service issuesWork with other site coordinators and Regional IT Manager to ensure inter-operability and process standardizationCommunicate local IS issues to regional and enterprise management and strives to build harmonious relationshipsAssist with the planning and execution of local IS capital projectsEnsure the integrity of each site's computer and communications systemsAssist with problem-solving and resolving customer service issues with usersEffectively coach and mentor department employeesProactively support employee involvement and developmentCounsel employees on performance standardsComplete and administer accurate and timely performance reviewsPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related fieldandfour (4) years of experience in a computer technology service delivery capacity;ORAssociate's degree or IT Certificateandfive (5) years of related IT experience;ORHigh School diploma or GEDandseven (7) years of experience in a computer technology service delivery capacityPreferredExperience working in an industrial environmentOne-year supervisory experienceOne-year mining or industrial experienceLeadership experience in supervisory or IT management experienceProject management experienceExperience supporting Process Control Systems or Mine TechnologiesITIL, Lean IT, Six Sigma or other related certificationsCriteria/ConditionsAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentWork will be performed in an office, mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particlesOccasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workdayWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, and climb stairsPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as requiredFreeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State LawsWhat We Offer YouThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$72,000-$98,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
