Responsibilities and Duties
Receives, inspects, and verifies shipments for compliance with delivery documents and purchase order specifications. Processes receiving documents. Tags, labels, etches, or marks for identification all supplies, materials, and equipment received. Receive log and mark for routing incoming shipments. Check shipment for compliance with delivery documents i.e. purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading. Tags and records equipment to designated locations. Responds to department inquires and resolves problems with shipments and deliveries. Conduct physical inventories of supplies and materials. Maintain warehouse, work area and vehicles in a clean and orderly manner. Prioritize and organize supplies, material, and equipment to load vehicle for deliveries. Complete service request to deliver equipment, bulk and or palletized shipment to departments. Read and assist in training subordinate personnel. Process electronics recycling for record keeping and shipping.
Qualifications and Skills
HS diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related work experience. Working knowledge of the procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment. Ability to perform basic mathematics; communicate effectively orally and in writing; follow directions; operate warehouse material handling equipment; operate computers and other standard office equipment; perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment. Occasional physical work as required with warehousing may lift up to 70 pounds. Carrying up to 70 pounds. Stabilizing large loads on wheels. Long periods of walking. Driving heavy equipment requiring strength and endurance. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience, and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
