SUMMARY
General Duties: Responsible for label changes and the operation and cleanliness of the label machine. This will include but not limited to machine adjustments, date code adjustments, label set ups, machine change overs, performing machine preventative maintenance and basic adjustments, troubleshooting and repair. Responsible for ensuring the quality of the labels. Will work with R&D on line trials and piloting of new product development. Will be responsible for 5S and continuous improvement activities on their respective lines and will provide support for department and site 5S and continuous improvement efforts. Performs the following duties.
Sets the example for respectful leadership cooperation and assists in motivating employees to achieve work goals. Shift: Monday- Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations. Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to material lead or supervisor Work to documents and develop layouts that focus on safe working areas while limiting manpower requirements Follow 5s guidelines Maintain clean work environment (Production Floor) Report all unsafe work areas Clear all lines of obstacles and trash Expectations are to constantly be observing and promote changes, improvements and sustain. Support Production Manager with organization and evaluation of label machine setup and operation. Will collect data, maintain metrics, monitor trends, report to supervisor on the health and well-being of the label machine. Will support carry over meetings/ email between shifts to ensure critical and pertinent information regarding the label machines is passed between shifts. Will be responsible to communicate equipment issues to maintenance and supervisor. Ability to operate the label machine, change labels and provide basic troubleshooting and repairs. Ability to use hand tools to make adjustments and repairs to the label machine. Ability to utilize hand jack when necessary. Must work well in an environment with a variety of team members and multiple departments. Knowledge of the products manufactured in the factory. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Ability to understand quality control methods. Ability to use various machines and practical skills. Good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork. Able to follow and execute instructions. Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, and quick and alert. Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance. Understanding and ability to use basic hand tools. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Preferred: High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
COMPUTER SKILLS Preferred Microsoft office (0-1year)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or touch; reach, talk, hear and smell. The employee may be required to, kneel, crouch, sit, climb or balance. The employee may lift and/or move up to more than 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, strong aromas, and near heat lamps. The employee is occasionally exposed airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (hearing protection is offered)
