Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Hv Battery

Lucid battery technology is among the most highly valued core IP in the company. This position seeks an ambitious and talented engineer to help develop the next generation of industry-leading battery products. This is a demanding role with close cross-functional collaboration across several teams and one that require a multi-disciplinary mindset.Role:Ownership of battery pack component and layout design (current and future products)Design with excellence at system and component level, with great attention to detailDiligently follow standards for part and drawing releaseWork closely with vendors to ensure requirements are metOptimize mechanical designs for performance, size, weight, durability and costWork autonomously, with minimal directionThink creatively and apply first-principle engineeringQualifications:Previous ownership of complex parts that have shipped in volumeStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and material selectionMastery of mechanical technical fundamentalsUnderstanding of material selection and DFM principlesA flair for creative design with a critical approach to solving tricky problemsStrong CAD skills with Catia V6 3DExperience (or equivalent)Design release engineering experienceA desire to work hard and push boundariesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred:Previous Experience designing parts in Automotive DC High Voltage architectureEducation:BS in Mechanical Engineering, Master's Preferred
