Our team consists of predictive modeling and insurance professionals working collaboratively with stakeholders across Clearcover. We're looking for a self-starter to help evaluate our pricing algorithms in efforts to enhance and improve our rate-to-risk assignment. Working alongside our actuarial and insurance product management teams, you'll drive analytics that inform our overall product strategy. In addition to working on rating plan enhancements and new product features, you may also drive forward our use of third-party data for both rating and underwriting.What will you do?Conduct analyses that inform Clearcover's countrywide product strategy, including but not limited to work related to pricing position, competitor research, and risk segmentationBuild strong cross-functional relationships to drive adoption and socialization of countrywide initiativesTranslate complex analytics in a consumable and compelling manner, presenting these concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesDevelop risk segmentation recommendations that find the right balance between growth and unit economicsCollaborate with the State Product Management and Product & Technology functional areas to shepherd implementation and adoption of new featuresSupport development of predictive and prescriptive analytical tools and frameworks for the Insurance Product OrganizationWhat do you need?2+ years of experience in a business consulting, product management, or strategic/analytical roleExperience in Property and Casualty is requiredExceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a deep intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated ability to analyze data and provide solutionsStrong programming skills with experience in SQL, R, or PythonFluent in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExcellent communicator, both orally and written, with experience working cross-functionallyAlignment with Clearcover core valuesNice to haves:Basic understanding of data science and modeling techniquesFamiliarity with Agile Scrum methodologyDid you know that women and minorities are less likely to apply to a position if they don't match 100% of the job qualifications?
