• This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
• Responsible for both traditional and cloud-based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects.
What you'll do
• Provides good understanding of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS clustering, and other application scaling concepts.
• Troubleshoots and resolves middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the systems including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
• Encourages an environment of sharing and teamwork among the team.
• Stays current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changes.
• Supports communication and response process by responding to users on system issues, maintenance, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or major issues.
• Travels, as required.
• Mandatory rotational schedule for on-call off-hours support

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
• 3 years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administrator
• 3 years LINUX (RHEL8) experience, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, IBM Cognos and IBM Cloud or MS Azure
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Master's degree in computer science computer engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 5 years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administrator
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
• Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutions
• In-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes
• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
• Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
• Proficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within infrastructure area
• Knowledge and hands on experience with FTP and secure FTP
• Experience in working with IBM WebSphere/Tomcat/IBM Http Server and IBM Cognos Reporting Server
• Knowledge and understanding on SSL certificates , PGP encryption and NAS storages
• Knowledge and support of Dynatrace and Splunk tools installations
• Knowledge and work experience on various components like Kubernetes, VPC, subnets, CI/CD in IBM Cloud/MS Azure
• Shell and Perl scripting capability knowledge in respect to setting up monitoring and alerting for Unix/Linux systems.
