Responsibilities
• Conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings• Evaluating and identifying communication disorders• Developing and implementing IEPs• Providing direct speech and language services• Participating in in-service for teachers• Providing consultation services to instructional and support staff• Remaining current in the field of speech and language and special education• Completing written reports and required documentation• Participating in teacher and parent conferences• Meeting other assigned school responsibilities
Requirements
• CT certification - Speech & Language Pathologist• Licensure by the State of CT Board of Health• Experience in writing IEP goals/objectives• Experience with the PPT process• Experience in working with families from diverse backgrounds• Spanish fluency is preferred• Public school experience at all levels, including preschool• Experience with IEP Direct software
