What You'll Do
Provide remote special education supports to students facing suspension or expulsion.
Deliver compensatory education when required.
Coordinate with parents and students to schedule services.
Understand, implement, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Maintain flexible availability during and after school hours.
Offer case management services within your assigned school district.
Develop tailored lesson plans to enhance reading and writing skills.
Document sessions according to company policies.
Conduct screening, progress monitoring, and diagnostic measures.
Educate families on supporting their child's learning journey.
What You'll Need
Active special education license in Maryland.
Multiple years of teaching experience with diverse student populations.
Ability to customize reading strategies.
Familiarity with phonics-based reading programs (e.g., Orton Gillingham or Wilson) is advantageous.
Understanding of neuropsychological concepts in learning.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers and parents.
Minimum 1 year of tutoring experience in reading and writing.
Practical experience in educational settings.
Excellent communication skills across various age and cultural groups.
Comfortable conducting sessions via virtual platforms.

Pay Range for Maryland-based Hires: $30 - $38 per hour. (Pay ranges may vary for candidates outside MD.)
