Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in a rewarding role that involves coordinating and delivering specialized education services within a secure multi-level institution. This position provides an opportunity to teach reading, math, and writing skills to students, alongside supporting the educational needs of special education-eligible students.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the delivery of special education services, manage resources, and schedules, and prepare reports for students eligible for special education.
Provide instruction in reading, math, and writing skills to students.
Engage in daily and regular interactions with individuals across various custody levels within a secure facility.
Perform duties at multiple facilities with flexibility in working hours and days.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in special education or a K-12 education-related field.
Experience: No specific type or amount of experience required.
Additional Requirements:
Possession of a current Michigan teaching certificate or equivalent with a special education endorsement in various areas such as autism, cognitive impairment, emotional impairment, learning disabilities, physical education for students with disabilities, physical or other health impairment, speech and language impairment, and/or visual impairment.
