Special Education Teacher

About the Position:
As an independent contractor with us, you'll have the freedom to set your own schedule while providing online support to students in need. Position Details:
Contract Structure: 1099 independent contracting
Student Caseload: K-12 with mild to moderate symptoms
Expected Hours: Full-time (35-40 hours per week)
Technology: Utilizing Zoom Plus (HIPAA/FERPA compliant) for virtual sessions
Start and End Dates: Both End of School Year (EOSY) and 2024-25
School Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Special Education
North Carolina teaching certification for Special Education
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting
Professional liability insurance coverage
Home computer with camera and microphone capabilities and a reliable internet connection
Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual classroom sessions for students with mild to moderate needs
Collaborate with onsite facilitators to accommodate individualized education plan (IEP) needs
Develop and manage IEPs for each student on your caseload
Participate in virtual IEP meetings with families and faculty members

Note: All positions with us require comfort with working as an independent contractor. You will be compensated for 100% of the time you work, including both direct student interactions and indirect planning periods & IEP development.
