Job ID 12103 As a nonprofit trusted agent of the Government, Utah State University Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is customer driven, mission focused, and technology enabled. SDL has been solving the technical challenges faced by the military, science community, and industry for more than six decades.
Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations. SDL is seeking a Software Test Engineer that has demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and executing software test plans and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Help to develop and continually improve regression and acceptance tests including automated tests Test, investigate, and manage defects and discrepancies for software with and without a UI Participate on software development teams as a test representative Continually evaluate and help refine internal and external customer requirements Assist in the development of test strategies to meet the release schedule for multiple programs Assist in directing student employees in the test and independent validation and verification process Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information Required Qualifications: B.S. in a related field or equivalent years of related experience Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and with team members Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance U.S. Citizenship Preferred Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience as a software test engineer, automation engineer, or other technical testing role Skill with one or more of the following: C++, Ruby, C#, Selenium/C#, CSS, Node.js, Confluence, Jira, Zephyr, BitBucket, VMware/VirtualBox, Jenkins, Visual Studio, SQL, Git Experience in an Agile software environment Experience in testing software and software test documentation TS security clearance SDL Benefits: At SDL, we take pride in and highly value our employees.
