Key Responsibilities:
Relentlessly drive the execution and delivery of new platform development areas.
Lead as a purposeful and empathetic engineering manager who attracts and nurtures strong engineering talent
Foster a positive, collaborative, and responsibility-based environment and culture that empowers team members to grow and succeed
Be a multiplier and effectively manage engineers to drive execution of roadmap and help team members develop their careers
Be a highly technical engineering manager capable of holding your own in technical discussions, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.
Maintain high standards of engineering excellence and best practices
Operate in a rapidly evolving environment and be able to quickly adapt and prioritize as needed
Collaborate with senior management and build cross-team and cross-functional partnerships to drive engineering efforts to completion
Be a business-minded and product-oriented engineering leader and maintain focus on delivering safe, reliable, and efficient technology solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Six to eight years of relevant technical experience
Five or more years of leading a software engineering team
Preferred Skills/Experience
Successfully led and managed multiple teams concurrently, including managers is a plus
Experience leading development of modern web and mobile application platforms
Expertise with AWS, Java, MySQL (Aurora) relational databases, distributed systems, React, TypeScript, and other related technology stacks
Expertise in driving agile development methodologies like Sprints or Kanban
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
Experience in financial services, payments, or transaction processing is a plus
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $135,150.00 - $159,000.00 - $174,900.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
