Software Automation Engineer Location Louisville, KY : We are seeking a Software Automation Engineer who will support, maintain, and develop solutions for warehouse shipment conveyors, sorter arms, and CMC machinery. This position's primary focus will be supporting system-down issues in the US Region along with software development in C# .Net Core for our suite of user-facing applications. As such, there will be partnerships with multiple different teams (SAP Developers, Forms Architects, and End-Users) who will support troubleshooting and finding the root cause of failures along with finding solutions and implementing preventative measures. The primary responsibilities revolve around C#, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, and Azure DevOps application development, working closely with international colleagues to update, optimize, and maintain smooth-running systems within multiple locations across the United States. Your Tasks
Deep understanding of Logistics with integrated WM with HU management, RF scanning, batch management, and serialization as well as sound knowledge of shipping and transport management. Part of a global IT team responsible for process alignment within the US region for numerous clients Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation Researching and designing automation technology Creating connections between information inputs, controllers, and outputs Developing tests and simulations to ensure the systems work as intended Establishing monitoring and QA processes Investigating defects or errors in the technology to resolution Strong customer orientation, high commitment, and initiative Travel: Domestic and International Travel Required Your Profile
Successfully completed training as an IT specialist for application development, and programming or completed training in business informatics Practical experience with SAP R/3, SAP S/4, and EWM-MFS, (ABAP, modules SD/MM/FI, WM) - customizing/development Must be well versed with C#, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, and Azure DevOps Experience in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures. Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Education/Experience in robotics, process automation, and programmable logic controllers. Proactively identify problematic issues (data or process) and work with the necessary individual(s) to resolve such issues Work with business users to gather more details on new SAP issues, and categorize the issues accurately to help address them promptly Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving and detail-oriented Provide high-quality support in all areas of the operation Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Very good communication skills and follow-through ability Work independently in an international environment Strong customer orientation, high commitment, and initiative Must be able to Commute/Relocate to: Louisville, KY, Pleasant Prairie, WI or Valencia, CA We Offer
