Duration: 10-15 hours/week; Flexible
Compensation: $18/hour
About Us: Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP) is a regional nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the economic health and quality of life across Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties in the Central Coast. Founded in 2015, MBEP serves as a regional convener, bringing together public, private, and civic entities to work collaboratively towards a thriving economic ecosystem.
Responsibilities: Create engaging social media content (including graphics, videos, and written posts) for various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with our audience to build meaningful connections. Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to our website and events. Research industry trends and best practices to optimize our social media presence and reach a wider audience. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative ideas and initiatives for social media campaigns. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in using Hootsuite to schedule posts and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). Passion for social media and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
