Position Title: Social Media Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Social Media Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our online presence, driving engagement, and amplifying our organizational goals across various social media platforms. As a key member of our digital communications team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful campaigns and initiatives that resonate with our audience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance NextGen America's online presence and promote youth engagement in civic participation.
Create compelling content for social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, with a focus on fostering meaningful dialogue and community interaction.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align social media efforts with organizational priorities and grassroots campaigns.
Manage social media campaigns and digital projects, including real-time response initiatives, to drive audience engagement and advocacy.
Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track performance and inform future content strategies.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in social media and digital storytelling, leveraging new tools and platforms to optimize engagement.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of professional experience in social media and digital marketing.
Strong understanding of political and/or media landscapes, with demonstrated ability to cultivate partnerships.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of collaboration and teamwork, with a positive and inclusive attitude.
Comfortable working remotely and effectively contributing to a distributed workforce environment.
Bonus Points for:
Proficiency in graphic design/editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
Experience with social media analytics tools including Sprout Social, Hootsuite, and platform-specific analytics.
Salary Information:
The starting salary for this position ranges from $72,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
