What You'll Do The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is seeking an intern for the Office of Learning and Instructional Strategies to support activities related to special education policies and practices. The intern will conduct research and analysis and provide support for the agency's efforts to communicate state regulations and policies. The intern will also assist staff in the monitoring of complaints, mediation, facilitation and due process requests. Major Responsibilities & Duties Under direction of the Assistant Director for Gifted Services, in the Office of Learning and Instructional Strategies: Research special education and/or gifted policies Analyze data and summarize findings Present research results in written and graphical formats Prepare presentations for stakeholder engagement Communicate relevant and accurate information, clearly and concisely during formal or informal meetings Collaborate with others to accomplish goals Use various tools and technologies to prepare and share documents and reports Provide essential support such as arranging meetings, taking notes, and responding to routine inquiries Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Current enrollment in baccalaureate or graduate degree program.
