Trapizzino LES is hiring a Server to join the FOH team. The ideal candidate has several years of experience working on both the bar and floor of a busy neighborhood restaurant. They must enjoy working closely with other team members and feel confident owning a section through a busy service.
The New York outpost of Stefano Callegari's Roman-rooted, internationally-acclaimed restaurant, Trapizzino brings a taste of the Eternal City to the corner of Orchard and Rivington Streets. The restaurant moves with the rhythms of the day - an espresso alongside warm bomboloni, a midday trapizzino enjoyed al fresco, refreshing spritz with shared vegetable small plates, or a larger feast with friends.
Responsibilities include:
Deliver quality, professional service on a consistent basis. Ensure that their conduct is in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure daily checklists are completed in a timely manner. Respond promptly and accurately to all guest and staff concerns. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients and team members. Comply with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations set forth by Trapizzino. Requirements include:
Possess a strong background in Bartending and Serving at a busy neighborhood restaurant. An understanding and appreciation for Italian food, wine and spirits. Familiar with restaurant technology (Toast POS, OpenTable, 7Shifts, Delivery Apps). Strong attention to detail on all operational matters. Ability to communicate openly and effectively with both guests and team members. NYDOH/Food Handlers card strongly suggested - TIPS Certification a plus. Full Time (40hr) schedule with weekend and occasional late-night hours. The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs - as well as kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be standing for extended periods of time.
