Title: Senior Unix Administrator

Our client is seeking a Senior Unix Administrator who has demonstrable knowledge of containers, cloud technologies, and agile/scrum activities.
Key Accountabilities: Configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades computer systems hardware and software.
Administers and maintains security of operating systems.
Restores files or systems by designing, writing, and implementing back-up procedures.
Provides operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment such as application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices.
Performs recovery procedures, scheduling and back-ups and monitors batch processes.
Match incumbents responsible for administering systems on multiple platforms such as mainframe, UNIX, and LAN to this discipline.
Install and maintain OpenShift clusters.
Performance resiliency and disaster recovery testing.
Log aggregation and correlation using ELK (or equivalent technology).
Experience with CI/CD deployment pipeline integration (preferred tools: Ansible, Jenkins, Nexus)
Automating end-to-end workflows (SRE experience preferred).
Maintenance and performance optimization.
Documenting workflows and providing evidence for audit reporting.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate will have an affinity for technology and the Linux OS.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
4+ years of RHEL/OpenShift experience: +5 years supporting RHEL/RHEV/Satellite.
+3 years supporting OpenShift.
Experience working with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), particularly in areas of containerization, automation, and remote systems management.
Server administration, monitoring, and configuration management. Ansible and scripting experience a plus.
Server hardening techniques, including vulnerability remediation and privileged access management.
Understanding of Elasticsearch administration and troubleshooting.
