Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The WRPS mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 56 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. This complex mission spans all competencies of engineering/science accomplished through a highly integrated organization engineering organization. WRPS was identified as "One of America's Safest Companies" in 2020; and was the recipient of the 2021 "Employee of the Year" by the Association of Washington Businesses.
WRPS is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor for the Contractor Assurance System (CAS) organization. This role is responsible for supporting all elements of Contractor Assurance and assisting line organizations in safe and compliant mission execution and operational excellence.
The Senior Technical Advisor's duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Cultivate program interfaces.
- Collaborate with counterparts across the Hanford Complex.
- Develop and provide various presentations to senior leadership and workforce.
- Develop and implement program communication methods to support change management and continuous improvement.
- Perform self-critical program assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Technical writing/editing of documents and reports (Assessments, Apparent Cause Analysis, Root Cause Analysis).
- Provide technical assistance in the development of Causal Analysis.
- Programmatic process improvements/procedure/charter updates.
- Promote use of statistical data analysis to support process improvement, cost savings, and cost avoidance.
- Identify opportunities for data automation and integration to ensure accurate and complete data is available for decision making across WRPS.
- Coordinate and oversee continuous software improvement/automation where applicable. (e.g., iCAS, Power Bl, DOORS)
Required Qualifications
Grade 21:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field; and twelve (12) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 22:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field; and fifteen (15) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with iCAS, Power Bl and DOORS.
- Familiar with Project Management techniques.
- Proficient in performing causal analysis (apparent or root).
- Proficient with written communication.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience in a DOE environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 21:
Hiring Range Minimum: $138,700
Hiring Range Maximum: $174,900
Grade 22:
Hiring Range Minimum: $155,625
Hiring Range Maximum: $204,775

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
