SUPPLY CHAIN Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.
SENIOR PURCHASING COORDINATOR I Purchasing Coordinators are key resources within the Purchasing function, supporting Buyers to ensure the timely delivery of purchased materials from our global supply chain.  Purchasing Coordinators follow up with vendors for updated status on open orders, expedite deliveries where needed, and help resolve any problem orders within our procure-to-pay process.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO Responsible for the on-time-delivery of purchased parts from vendors to Rocket LabAccountable for follow-up with suppliers regarding purchase order deliveries, and expediting as requiredResponsible for maintaining order management data integrity by updating delivery datesProactively work with Buyers and Planners to ensure that supplier delivery dates meet key production and or project milestonesResolving inwards goods non-conformances (such as under-supply or incorrect part shipped) to ensure purchase orders can be receipted in a timely mannerResolving overdue invoices for payment to ensure timely compliance with agreed supplier payment termsMaintain buying master data relating to price, lead-time and ordering parametersResponsible for administrating the new supplier onboarding processOther duties asked by your manager, relevant to your roleYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS: Highschool Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience  Proficient using Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)Knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: Proven ability to clearly communicate, manage work tasks, and provide status updates.Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlinesStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficientlyProficient in MRP systemsPrior experience in fast-paced manufacturing environmentPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.   Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.  Must be physically able to commute to buildings Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.  The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab's compensation package for this role. You may be eligible for company stock, stock options, or cash incentives, and can purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program. Base Pay Range (CA Only)
$26.77—$40.15 USD
