With a vision to become a global leader in sustainable cleaning solutions, Tennant creates innovative products, such as our autonomous scrubbers, that are changing the way the world cleans.The Sr. Product Specialist will be responsible for supporting Tennant's product needs within North America – including the launching of new products within the region. This role will be involved in supporting product life-cycle management activities, product post-launch monitoring & support, and support ongoing product inquires from internal and external customers.This role will report to the Sr. Manager, North American Product Management and collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate speed to market, top-notch communication, and achievement of Product Management & North American Business Unit goals.Key responsibilities & elements of the role include:Development of an understanding of market dynamics including competitive landscape, macro trends, supplier offerings, and customer needs for relevant commercial & industrial products in the cleaning equipment industry.Lead the collaboration and execution of launch activities including education, promotions, collateral development, and launch communications for North America product introductions.Collaborating with North America sales leaders, across all brands and channels, and with the Sr. Product Manager – North America to define & prioritize product growth opportunities.Execute post-launch monitoring and support of newly introduced products.Evaluating product option attachment rates, standard configuration sales, and making recommendations for product changes, pricing strategies, and product obsolescence.Participate during sales meetings and calls on topics as assigned (product introductions, competitive evaluations, etc.)Collaborate with the local marketing team to develop/update new collateral (print, digital, web, social media) and tools to help drive awareness of Tennant's product lines.Respond to daily inquiries from the sales organization to support driving awareness of Tennant's products and solutions within the region.Collaborate as required on peripheral projects and or work streams that aid the North American BU's focus.Required SkillsStrong communication and presentation skills.Strong problem-solving capabilities.Team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.Strong relationship building skills and ability to build rapport with key internal and external business partners.Data analysis – ability to analyze data and recommend action based on the information.Strategic mindset with a focus on execution and delivery of results.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint, experience working in SAP a plus.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree required. Degree in business/marketing is desired.3-5 years of professional work experience, preferably with an emphasis in product management, B2B sales or marketing.Experience partnering with technical departments & other cross-functional partners in the launch of new B2B products across multiple sales channels (Direct, Strategic, Distributor) desired.Knowledge of the workings in a direct and distributor sales organization desired, cleaning industry or mobile equipment industry is preferred.Willingness to travel - up to 10% of the time. **Will work at both Burnsville and Golden Valley locations when needed**Successful track record for problem solving, idea generation, and program execution.Begin your journey with us.
