Network Engineer III
Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time, regular Senior Network Engineer to join our talented, dynamic team supporting our customers in Titusville, Florida. The selected candidate will be working on government Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems. Responsibilities include network and subsystem design, evaluation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of various network and related computer systems as well as data dissemination to internal subsystems along with external networks. Job location islocated in Titusville, FL. Travel may be required to multiple locations across the US.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have ten or more years with the following experience in a position(s) of progressively increasing maturity and responsibility.
Designing, deploying, and operating:
Cisco and other vendor Switches, Firewalls, and Routers
Solutions IPSEC over GRE tunnels
Routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF & BGP
Understanding and implementation of different encryption methods.
Network and IT infrastructure integration into ISR sub systems
Providing subject matter expertise in the theory and operations of a wide variety of protocols and technologies
Ability tocreate and follow robust testreports andprocedures
Testand evaluationofnew equipment for implementationinto baseline configurations
Design, plan, as well as lead initiatives for the optimization and restructuring of network architecture
Troubleshoot network systems to identify and resolve issues
Provide solutions to complex problems
The ability to manage small projects from start to finish
The ability toorganizeand attend meetings
Utilize enterprise network monitoring tools
Experience managing enterprise networks
Create detailed, accurate, and polished system/network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
Teaching and training team members and new hires in support processes, tools, technologies
Attention to detail in all work-related aspects
Supporting Work Responsibilities:
Review engineering specifications and design review documents
Create and review detailed network topology drawings
Providesupporttocustomer and staffto duplicate and document hardware/software anomalies.
Review IT infrastructure related Field Modification Procedures for implementation into Technical Manuals
Support engineering effortswithtestingofprototype systems and pre-released software.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Work Environment:
Working primarily on
Government/Military facilities.
Some travel may be required both inside and outside the U.S
Job location isremote initially and then will be located in Titusville, FL. Travel may be required at multiple locations across the US.
Workindividually and as part of a team.
Work may include considerable kneeling, walking, and standing.
Work may include outdoor activities in austere environments.
Work may include activities at elevated heights above ground, such as using an arial lift.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have ten years of network engineering experience.
Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree may be substituted for some experience
Related military training and/orjobexperience is a plus
Candidate will be required to attend training and become certified on the surveillance asset
Proficientwith Microsoft Office Suite products such asWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
General working knowledge ofserver, workstations and other computers and computer systemsto enable the effective execution of systems activities.
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience working with infrastructure monitoring solutions, such as SolarWinds Performance Monitoring and SNARE centralized log manager, Cisco SSM and other on-prem network management services.
This position is 40 hours a week with possible extra hours required. Candidate must be willing to work different shifts to include some weekends supporting 24/7 Operations.
U.S. Government background investigation is required.
