Job Summary:
The Senior Merchandise Planner is responsible for developing and executing merchandise plans to drive sales, optimize inventory levels, and maximize profitability for the retail organization. They analyze sales trends, forecast demand, and collaborate with various teams to ensure timely and accurate merchandise allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise Planning: Develop comprehensive merchandise plans aligned with company goals and financial targets, taking into account historical data, market trends, and business objectives. Assortment Planning: Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to determine product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional plans based on customer preferences and market trends. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and sell-through performance to identify opportunities for inventory optimization and liability management. Allocation and Replenishment: Work with the Buying team to develop allocation strategies to ensure the right products are available in the right locations at the right time, balancing sales potential with inventory constraints. Financial Analysis: Analyze sales performance, margin trends, and profitability metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandise plans and identify areas for improvement. Budgeting: Create purchase budgets by channel by category and classes, allocating spend to the the most efficient and brand-focused categories Risk Management: Identify inventory potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring projects are completed successfully. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Buying, Merchandising, Ecom, Retail, Demand Planning and Supply Chain, to coordinate merchandise planning activities and achieve business objectives. Reporting and Communication: Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate key performance indicators, sales forecasts, and inventory insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in Planning, Merchandising, or related roles in the apparel industry Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Gsheet, and other data analysis tools Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask A passion for streetwear fashion and an understanding of the target audience 42Tech, Full Circle, Shopify, and Google Analytics knowledge a plus Required in LA office daily
