Within Merchant Services U.S. (MS – U.S.), the Industry Development and Trade Partnerships team supports a top priority for MS – U.S. and is focused on driving merchant acceptance by building strategies to expand coverage in focus verticals and leveraging strategic trade partnerships and external resources to increase welcomed acceptance, reinforce our value to Merchant/Partners, and deepen C-level relationships.This Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the B2B and Payments Trade Strategy for MS – U.S. Leveraging strategic trade relationships is critical to the business as these relationships bring opportunity for promoting brand awareness, sharing thought leadership, and building connections with new and existing Merchants and Partners. In addition to directly managing multiple external trade partners – which includes setting the strategic vision for the partnership and executing on event sponsorships – this role will also manage the evaluation and onboarding of new trade partners across industry verticals for the team.This role reports into the Director of Industry Development & Trade Partnerships and will work closely with VP's across all of Merchant Services U.S.Key responsibilities include:Owning the B2B and Payments Trade Strategy – this includes managing the day-to-day relationships with multiple external trade partners (e.g., Women in Payments, Credit Research Foundation)Setting the vision for event sponsorships and executing against those sponsorships – this requires significant collaboration across the Blue Box with teams such as Corporate Affairs & Communications, Marketing, General Counsel's Organization, and Global Advertising and Brand ManagementClosely managing to a defined budget for this portfolio of trade partners and working with leader/team to make appropriate trade-offs as neededManaging the evaluation and onboarding of new trade partners across industry verticals for the teamActively participate in team activities and contribute positively to the team culture Qualifications:4+ years of experience in either business development, client management, partner management or strategic planning roles requiredStrong collaborator with proven ability to build meaningful relationships and influence across teams and levelsResults driven with the ability to work under pressure, navigate through ambiguity, and balance multiple prioritiesAbility to think strategically while also focusing on the detailsStrong communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholdersKnowledge of the payments or B2B landscapeTeam player who has a positive attitude, is naturally curious, and is not afraid to challenge the status quoContract negotiation skills a plusSalary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
