Job Title Cybersecurity Engineer Role Overview : The Cybersecurity Operations & Intelligence team is the operational arm of the Cybersecurity & Risk Management organization. This role will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and providing 24x7 support for all Cyber tools and solutions. In addition, the role will include maintaining stability of security systems and applications, ensuring operational readiness, and developing automated controls for visibility. We also provide support to all investigations, incident response, and IT activities as needed.
On a typical day you will: Manage security product rollouts to the Otis computing environments
Support email scanning and detection solutions to protect against phishing attacks
Implement, document, and maintain security product management controls, standard operating procedures, narratives, and test scripts
Work with Otis Cyber Incident Response team to improve cyber defense capability
Work with project teams to ensure secure implementations
Define key performance indicators to demonstrate program success
Provide technical oversight, hands-on implementation, and support for security related product rollouts and ensure integrations with centralized monitoring
Assist in building out a global cybersecurity engineering capability for supporting 24/7 operational capabilities
Gather use-cases and requirements from Cyber teams in order to develop, deploy, and configure solutions to aid in Cyber activities.
Develop and lead continuous monitoring efforts to assist in maturing Cyber prediction, prevention, detection, and response capabilities
Work closely with vendors to maintain optimum functionality of all tools
What You Will Need to be Successful : 4-7 years' work experience supporting Cyber Security tools in an enterprise environment
Experience with endpoint security technologies such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
Experience with standard IT Troubleshooting strategies (for supporting any issues)
Experience with network security technologies such as IDS/IPS (intrusion detection / prevention system), full packet / deep packet capture analysis, firewalls, and proxies
Experience with enterprise log management, data lake, & SIEM technologies
Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems. Comfortable working at the command-line.
Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and Active Directory
Experience with Cloud-based infrastructure deployments (i.e. Azure, AWS)
Experience with automation technologies including scripting background in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible or similar.
Efficient with version control technologies i.e. GIT and DevOps related methodologies
Initiative and ability to quickly acquire knowledge
Problem solving and analytical abilities including the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and apply sound business knowledge
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Understanding of basic project management principles
Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering/Information Systems or related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in this field or equivalent experience
IT Security-related certification (CISSP, CISA, Sec+, GCIH, etc.) required.
