VDOT is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician for the Hampton Roads Harbor Tunnels-Maintenance DivisionPerform diagnosis, repair, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of specialized electronic equipment in the traffic management systemsWork outside of normal work hours during emergency operations

Responsibilities
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain bridge-tunnel industrial plant SCADA systems• Perform maintenance of electronic control equipment for bridge-tunnel Medium Voltage Power Distribution System• Maintain bridge tunnel COMM fiber plant and intelligent traffic management system• Oversee maintenance of UHF/VHF radio systems, CCTV cameras, and tunnel internal networks• Plan, coordinate, and prioritize multiple assignments and work of others
Requirements
• Experience in electronics field including troubleshooting and repair• Experience in traffic signal maintenance and operations• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to electronics and traffic control equipment• Ability to keep detailed records and perform physical labor tasks• Ability to understand and apply electronic theory for testing and repair• Experience in maintenance and repair of analog and digital communications systems• Inventory experience and ability to enter work orders in IMMS system• Valid Driver's License• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience• Certification in fire alarm systems preferred
