Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us.Position SummaryReporting to the Executive Director, Leadership Communications, the Senior Director, Thought Leadership and Content Strategy develops and drives the execution of BMS's global thought leadership strategy and associated content to build corporate reputation and elevate the platforms of executive team members. This individual serves as a strategic business partner to the BMS leadership team, orchestrating opportunities to promote leadership visibility and authority on topics that support the BMS story, promote business growth, resonate with priority stakeholders, and reflect the unique interests and expertise of each leader. The Senior Director, Thought Leadership and Content Strategy, also oversees digital and social content channel strategy, including for BMS.com. This individual will drive a cohesive storytelling effort for the enterprise and establish and report on key performance indicators.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a robust global thought leadership strategy that appropriately engages the BMS leadership team in telling the company story and aligns with company priorities, goals, and milestonesDemonstrate a deep understanding of BMS's key stakeholder audiences and the optimal way to reach them with targeted thought leadership effortsSupport leaders in developing and executing communications programs specific to their area of the businessIn coordination with the Leadership Communications team, oversee the leadership team's role in external and internal events and thought leadership opportunities such as participation in conferences and memberships, media interviews, social media engagement, enterprise town halls, etc.Manage a team focused on executing the global thought leadership strategy, including social media and digital activation expertsProvide counsel and coaching to leadership team in support of opportunities identified as part of the thought leadership strategyEnsure alignment of the leadership team's messaging and engagement opportunitiesCurate content for BMS.com and amplify through corporate social channels.Oversee the development of engaging and relevant content for social media platforms. Ensure that posts, graphics, videos, and other media formats capture attention and bolster reputation.Manage a team focused on monitoring and engaging with the BMS social media community. Ensure that the company is responding to comments, messages, and mentions, as well as addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback. Build positive relationships and foster engagement.Key Qualifications12+ years of corporate communications experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industryStrong executive presence and experience managing high-exposure opportunitiesStrong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to understand and translate business strategyProven experience and comfort with counseling and coaching senior-level executivesSuperior written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communications skillsExceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsExcels in fast-paced, challenging environmentExcellent writing skills, with knowledge of AP style and a keen attention to detailBachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field.If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
