Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Senior Consultant. This position will provide support to senior-level personnel in the Directorate Management Division (DMD) within the Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) of the Department of Defense (DoD). The DMD is responsible for providing customer service support to FSD divisions, overseeing personnel and workforce policies, establishing organizational goals, and serving as a primary point of contact and information source for the division. The Senior Consultant will offer subject matter expertise in areas including program management, business process improvement, analytics, logistics, and other areas as required. This position requires the ability to work with senior executives, along with experience working in the DoD.

Provide advisory services and lead initiatives to implement and improve business processes. Update existing business processes and create new process visualizations (e.g., flow charts, process maps) to reflect changes in organizational structure, functions, roles, and responsibilities. Identify and facilitate the development and documentation of new processes. Develop, implement, and document an integrated process management strategy to catalog and maintain organizational business processes. Provide project management and communications support, including drafting and compiling Staffing Reports, Monthly Status Reports, Project Status Review briefs, reviewing client deliverables, and developing presentations. Lead and motivate a cross-functional and dispersed team to ensure effective collaboration, clear communication, and understanding of project roles and responsibilities. Engage with key stakeholders, clients, and team members through consistent communication. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing process improvements for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Education and Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with the ability to lead and conduct business process improvements. Experience in human capital and resourcing or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Experience managing teams, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to support day-to-day client engagements while ensuring on-time and error-free deliverables. Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to devise innovative solutions for customer challenges. Self-motivated with exceptional oral and written communication skills, and ability to multitask. Demonstrated knowledge and project management experience to facilitate communication to multiple audience levels in both oral and written formats. Experience serving as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-paced, and occasionally stressful environment. Experience working with web-based systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Demonstrated experience working in a matrix or team-based organizational structure. Experience in identifying inputs in an organization program/process and prioritizing them for redesign urgency, diagnosing and improving business processes, and increasing efficiency. Clearance: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to use stairs without assistance. Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
