It's very special that our town and operations are all close by, so it really does feel like one big community.About the roleThe Senior Advisor, Training role offers an exceptional opportunity ensuring training systems and programs are in place and working effectively to ensure new and existing employees are set up for success as they progress along their career growth journeys. You will be responsible and accountable for supervising the training advisor team to ensure those safety programs and projects are delivered according to Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation standards.The position will be on a 5/2 - 4/3 (9.5 - hour day) roaster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario with NO FIFO eligibility. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth.Key result areas in this role include:Oversee all instructors and site-wide training programs at RLOAct as the site signing authority for Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development modules.Monitor and evaluate training activities and continuously improve site training modules as required to ensure optimum training effectivenessManage employee induction process and onboarding, ensuring it is administered thoroughly & efficientlyOrganize training with external training providers, when requiredEnsure training records and documents are meticulously maintainedDetermine site-wide, departmental, and individual training needs by maintaining communication with management team and performing yearly training needs analysesWork on and provide feedback for yearly department budgeting activitiesKeep current on ministry regulations that affect training requirementsProvide support to the Occupational Health and Safety CommitteeAbout youAs the Senior Advisor, Training you will have a certificate or Diploma in Health and Safety or similar.It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:A Valid Class G Driver's License & access to a reliable vehicleFirst Aid Certification5 years' experience supervising and managing employees or 10+ experience working in the mining industry, including 3 years in a training role Proven ability to develop training modules Solid understanding of INX computer systemComprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining PlantsAt Evolution, as our name suggests, change and transformation is in our DNA.
