Job Description: SFS is seeking a dynamic finance professional to serve as Controller. The right candidate will exhibit the SFS principles (see below) and be comfortable in a fast paced, challenging role. While leading the finance and accounting functions of the business, the Controller will work with the CEO, COO and board of directors. Sharp analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required. Prior Controller or similar experience is preferred, and strong technical skills is a must. Quality of candidate will be valued over the geography of the candidate.

Responsibilities: Timely monthly financials package (including GL and reconciliation) & covenant compliance
Financial reporting needs for shareholders and lenders (borrowing base, covenant calc, etc.)
Updating asset metrics (charge-off curves, payment analysis, delinquency reports etc.)
Interface with auditors throughout the year and get through year-end audit
Daily GL entries, reconciliations, adjustments
Work with GoldPoint (LOS system) team to improve accounting functionality/data
Purchase accounting adjustment reconciliations
Manage cash flow, optimize borrowing base
Manage AP and AR
Meet and interface with company bank / lenders
Rolling budgets
Rolling budgets
Analyze ROI and optimization for loan book
Forecasting growth initiatives
Other Items Benchmarking internal data with other smaller finance companies and banks
Custom internal audit projects
Tax planning alongside external tax team
Payroll processing

Experience & Qualifications: 4 years + of experience in consumer finance accounting Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance with designations (i.e. CPA or other), or advanced degree a plus
